One fly

Over the seasons you develop flies that you rely on. You tie them on before you hit the water, without seeing any signs. You probe and test with these flies. Here's one of mine for the local salt. I originally called it Stevie's Wonder but someone told me that name was taken. For now I call it 50 50, after the pretty even split between natural and synthetic materials.

I really like the SW name too. Who knows, maybe it'll stick.

interesting design. Is there a specific purpose to the corsair-type material other than acting as a spreader?

I've time tested this highly foul resistant and long term durable pattern....Stevie's Wonder it is! Thanks for the comment DOS.

Hi Jared, the corsair adds a scale-like appearance, durability and helps the tail resist fouling. I often use red material under the corsair which creates a color blend due to the semi-transparent nature of the tube.

In that case, you might want consider EZ-Body instead of the corsair and tie it closer to something like this:

You'll love the action of the rabbit in the water.

(you coming to fish with me on ACK this year??)

I've been using the corsair for a long time in this pattern, mostly because I own a bunch. I'll check out EZ-Body and the link to the suggested pattern. Thanks. Regarding ACK, when?
