A few years ago, Vodafone (global telecommunications company) selected the mayfly as a marketing vehicle to help convey the firm's "Make the most of now" tagline, given that mayflies have such a short lifespan. My guess is that there was an angler or two on staff at the time to help the concept get off the drawing board. The result was some sophisticated animation built around a good message for us longer living creatures. Have a look at this one minute video of mayflies enjoying life.
