It may be the only place in the world to do it: Catch wild rainbow trout on dry flies on a frosty morning, enjoy a steaming bowl of chicken noodle soup while cozying around a fireplace then drive less than two hours and take a dip in the bath-tub warm Pacific or Atlantic Oceans. Do it all in sight of palm trees, quetzales and spider monkeys. Never mind the sailfish and the tarpon.Only in Costa Rica.

There's some hidden trout water in the high mountains that takes some hiking to get into, also, great fishing for machaca, which they call sábalito, or little tarpon, mojarra, guapote (rainbow bass) in the rivers and coastal lagoons - plus the high profile stuff like snook, tarpon, sails, etc. Enjoy the story...
